Lawmakers have issued a 'Call to Arms' to help the struggling Utah Lake. Shortly thereafter, Governor Herbert signed the Bill: HCR 26, urging for speedy and comprehensive solutions to restore Utah Lake.
Renewable Energy Innovations has responded and offered assistance. Through a Memorandum of Understanding with the Utah Lake Commission, Renewable Energy Innovations will bring regional solutions to restore the Lake, improve water quality and enhance recreational opportunities. It also includes building an Environmental Educational Center to educate the consumers and demonstrate how we can use technology to solve many of these environmental problems in our communities today. It is here that we will study algae blooms and seek better solutions, provide lab space for students from the local universities and teach consumers environmental responsibility in fun and exciting ways. |
Renewable Energy Innovations believes there is much we can do as we work together. The state has already begun removing thousands of pounds of carp which are now harmful to the other fish, plants and the lake itself.
Our engineering teams are hard at work. They have a long history of water treatment innovation, pioneering advanced treatment systems for large-scale construction sites across the country. Some of these systems have been running for 40-60 years without the need for upgrades. We can remove phosphorus and other harmful wastewater nutrients out of waterways that can affect flora and fauna.

Renewable Energy Innovations is currently engineering solutions to improve wastewater treatment, water and manure management for dairy and agricultural farmers as well as processing the Utah Lake water itself. These solutions are part of a Regional Initiative and a collaborative effort with the local and state government.
Renewable Energy Innovations has also secured a letter of commitment from a large green fund to provide the finance dollars necessary to make these projects possible. |
